An Online (Fully Online/Distance Learning) Course is a course in which 100% percent of the direct instruction of the course is delivered online. All special course components (exams, internships, practicals, clinicals, labs, etc.) that cannot be completed online can be completed off-campus. A per-credit-hour distance learning fee applies to distance learning/online courses. See http://www.unf.edu/tuition/. A Live Online Course is a course delivered completely online via web conferencing with regularly schedule meeting times that comprise 50% or more of the direct instruction. Live Online courses are subject to a per credit hour distance learning fee. A Primarily Online Course is a course in which 80-99 percent of the direct instruction of the course is delivered online. There is a requirement for the student to attend campus or another explicit geographic location for a portion of the course. Primarily Online courses are subject to a per credit hour distance learning fee. A Hybrid Course is a course in which at least 50 percent and not more than 79 percent of the direct instruction of the course is delivered online. Hybrid courses are not subject to a per credit hour distance learning fee. Standard Instructional Method is used for courses where instruction is delivered in a regular classroom setting and students are evaluated based on the same criteria. Independent Instructional Method is used for courses where instruction is delivered one-on-one or students are evaluated based on individual criteria/requirements/skills, etc. (e.g. DIS, Thesis, Research, Internships, etc.) Blendflex Instructional Method is used for courses in which students select attendance modality on a class-to-class basis. Students can choose to attend class sessions in the classroom or online, either synchronously or asynchronously. Blendflex courses are not subject to a per credit hour distance learning fee. |
