The Information Systems major has an interdisciplinary flavor in that a core selection of Business Administration coursework is an integral part of the program where students study the development of computer software applications to meet business needs. The curriculum focuses on courses related to application programming, database design, Internet programming technologies, data analytics, and systems analysis and design. Students are also required to participate in a two-semester capstone project where they develop software systems for community partners. Web developer, programmer, and business analyst are typical titles for the first job of the program graduates. Students can earn a minor in Business Administration by adding one more business course to those required for the Information Systems major. Career Planning Engaging in career planning activities is significant to student success. UNF offers customized career centers to deliver targeted programs, events, services and resources. First-Year and Exploratory students should visit the Career Services webpage and Sophomore or higher level students with a declared CCEC major should visit the CCEC Career Development Center. Students should refer to their personalized Degree Evaluation provided by an academic advisor and to other university resources for additional university and college-specific policies. Visit the undergraduate university catalog for more information. Summer terms may be utilized to facilitate graduation in four years.
