The Osprey Map provides a term-by-term sample schedule for each undergraduate academic program at the University of North Florida. It is designed to guide students in the selection of courses each term. The "Mile Marker" courses in the right-hand column are those courses that should be completed before or by the end of that term. Following the sample schedule, and completing the mile marker courses at the appropriate point of your undergraduate career, will facilitate graduation in four years. The term-by-term model assumes full-time enrollment. For students enrolled part-time, the sample schedule and mile markers should be followed based on the number of credits completed. The Osprey Map should be used in consultation with an academic advisor.

The Health Administration degree is designed to prepare graduates for entry-level administrative positions in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, mental health organizations, insurance companies, public agencies, and many other types of health care organizations. It also serves to help enhance careers of students already working in the health services industry. An opportunity to pursue special interests is provided with selection 12 hours of elective course work or a concentration in Aging Services and 3 hours of elective course work. Click on the Students tab of the Career Services webpage for major exploration and employment information. Students should refer to their personalized Degree Evaluation provided by an academic advisor and to other university resources for additional university and college-specific policies and procedures. Visit the undergraduate university catalog for more information. Summer terms may be utilized to facilitate graduation in four years. Visit the university catalog for a list of General Education requirements. An Associate in Arts (AA) degree from a Florida public university, state college or community college satisfies UNF general education and Gordon Rule requirements. General Education Math selection for First Time in College (FTIC) students is contingent upon Math Placement exam results, SAT/ACT math scores, the student’s major and/or credit received through accelerated mechanisms (Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Dual Enrollment, etc). Visit the Health Administration webpage for a complete list of prerequisites. Students must earn additional Free Elective credit if needed to satisfy the university minimum 120 total semester hours for graduation. The Health Administration program includes an internship for students to apply their skills and knowledge in a healthcare administrative environment. All program prerequisites and major requirements must be completed prior to internship. Students must meet with a Brooks College of Health Advisor the semester prior to registering for HSA4004 Professional Skills Development to verify academic eligibility clearance. Students may petition to take a Health elective (if needed) with HSA 4850. HSA 4941 Long Term Care Internship is available fall and spring terms only. A minimum 2.0 GPA is required prior to all internships. Students completing HSA 4941 Long Term Care Admin Internship must complete the Aging Services concentration courses prior to the start of internship. The Aging Services concentration includes: HSA3154 Aging Policy and Politics, GEY3004 Aging in America, and GEY3503 Assisted Living Administration.
